Spiritual Care Australia (SCA) Ltd is a Not For Profit Organisation, registered with ACNC. SCA is the professional association for organisations and individual practitioners in spiritual and pastoral care and chaplaincy services.

Spiritual Care Australia seeks to unify, consolidate, support, promote & encourage the development of spiritual care within contemporary multi-faith, multi-cultural Australia.

The SCA National Board provides governance and financial responsibility, setting direction for the future of the organisation and ensuring compliance to all legislation in the present moment.

We are currently seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join the Board following the retirement of our existing treasurer at the end of May, 2017.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced accountant,
  • Has a familiarity and interest in the work of Not For Profit Organisations generally and, ideally, spiritual and pastoral care and chaplaincy,
  • Is familiar with the Xero (or online) accounting systems (external administration organisation provides Member services, Finance & Admin tasks)
  • Can discern and communicate financial trends and issues to the Board.

The treasurer would also be involved in the Finance & Governance subcommittee of the Board that convenes as required to ensure finance and governance issues are dealt with appropriately.
