WHO ARE WE?

Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre Inc. is nestled in the southern foothills of the Dandenong Ranges around 45km south east of Melbourne and has a population of around 4,800.   We're a community driven organisation that evolved after the 1983 Ash Wednesday Bushfires as a means of community support.   Originally the CWA established a drop-in Centre for anyone wishing to have a chat and a cuppa and from humble beginnings the Community Centre was born.    The Centre has evolved gradually in response to the changing needs of the community and has prospered because of the ongoing commitment of the staff, committees and the support of the community.  

The Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre services Upper Beaconsfield, Beaconsfield, Berwick, Officer, Pakenham, Narre Warren, and Emerald, all within 15 minutes’ drive. The Centre offers a range of community services including an Early Learning Centre, Accredited Training Courses, Computer Classes, Special Interest classes, Arts & Craft, Health and Wellbeing, Exercise Classes, a Toy Library, Maternal Child Health Nurse, Men’s Shed, Community Garden & Upper Beaconsfield Village Festival.

We have a energetic part time team of employees including a Bookkeeper (MYOB), Program Coordinator, Administrators, Director of our Early Learning Centre and Educators.

WE NEED YOU!

We are seeking new dynamic volunteers for our Committee of Management for the 2017/2018 year.   Ideally you will have skills sets to complement our industry and be actively involved with the needs of our Centre.

The Committee meets every 3rd Wednesday at 7:30pm.

Our Annual General meeting will be held on Wednesday 15th March 7:30pm.
