Any further information about this vacancy:

Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania Inc (CFT) supports Tasmanian families affected by cystic fibrosis (CF), the most common genetic condition affecting children and young people today.

We have a ten member voluntary Committee (Board)  which is made up of a combination of people who have a connection to CF, along with others who have an interest or specialist area of expertise. The Committee meets quarterly, usually on a Wednesday night from 5:30pm until around 7:30pm. Whilst the meetings are held in our Hobart office, as we have representatives from outside of Southern Tasmania they take part by teleconference.

Our board currently comprises of:  4 parents of children with CF along with a financial planner, lawyer , consultant and a doctor.   Following our recent AGM two Committee didn't re-nominate and so we are currently operating with just 8 members.

Our particular area of need at the moment is for someone to take on the role of Treasurer.   We have a cloud based account system (MYOB), an Accountant/Auditor who is very helpful in answering queries for us throughout the year, however we feel we have a skills gap in our current Committee without someone who comes from an accountancy background.

If you would like the opportunity to discuss this position our Executive Officer, Paula Wriedt, is more than happy to talk to you.  She can be contacted on 03 62 346085 or general@cftas.org.au
