Leichhardt Marrickville Community Transport Group (LMCTG) is a not-for-profit community organisation with a volunteer Management Committee. We support and provide community transport to people who are frail aged, those with disabilities and their carers and people who are transport disadvantaged to maintain their independence and to remain in their own homes. We provide transport for:

  • Medical rehabilitation and healthcare appointments
  • Shopping and access to other facilities
  • Social and recreational day outings

LMCTG receives funding from Commonwealth and State governments. Due to recent changes in our Management Committee we are now looking for some new members.

All new members members will be provided with a comprehensive orientation package with a large amount of information about the various roles on the committee. We are looking to obtain the services of people who have certain competences that are beneficial to the organisation. The following skills that the organisation will benefit are: 

  • Financial and accounting skills
  • Experience working within a community organisation
  • Legal, corporate and management expertise
  • Marketing, promotion and customer relations skills
  • Experience in working with government agencies
  • Expertise in applying for tenders and drafting funding submissions
  • Knowledge of social enterprise and networking to build capacity would be an advantage
