Physical Disability Australia needs a Director to represent the state of Victoria. If you:

  • live in Victoria;
  • Have a physical disability;
  • Are 18 years or older;and
  • Are eligible to serve of the Director of a Company...

The responsibilities of a PDA Director are not onerous. All we ask is:

  • You attend scheduled Board of Directors meetings every 2 months (by teleconference);
  • You attend annual face-to-face meetings (all expenses paid for by PDA);
  • You provide input into the work of PDA (as requested by fellow Directors and the PDA Manager);
  • You respond promptly to PDA emails as required; and
  • You promote the organisation and its work in your state or territory

Appointments to the Board of Directors (through election at the Annual General Meeting or directly by the Board as vacancies arise) are for an initial 3 year period with the potential for a further 2 3-year terms.

There is no financial risk in being a PDA Director. The organisation is a Company Limited by Guarantee and is registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Charities and Not-for Profits Commission (ACNC).
