Incite Arts is a community-led arts organisation working with youth, people with a disability, aboriginal communities and other diverse groups in Alice Springs and the Central Desert region.

Incite Arts is a not-for profit Incorporated Association governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Board members provide leadership to the organisation including legal and governance requirements as well as support and advice to our highly skilled management and creative team. Board members also activate their networks in supporting and expanding the purpose and outputs of our organisation.

Currently there are 6 Board Members with a range of skills especially in the areas of Community Cultural Development, Arts, Youth, Indigenous, financial and governance skills.

We are seeking new members who are skilled in areas such as marketing, social media, legal, fundraising and youth engagement skills.

The time commitment required includes an induction session, attendance at Board meetings (which are held every 2 months) and an annual strategic planning weekend, usually held in April. In between meetings there may be particular tasks or contacts to follow up.

No prior Board experience necessary. Induction, training and support provided.

We are particularly interested in recruiting young members, or those who work in youth and community services.
