Vocational Partnership Group Inc. (VPG) is a non-profit organisation with the purpose of improving child and youth transitions.  Operating in Far North Queensland for over 20 years with centres in Cairns, Yarrabah, Innisfail, Atherton and Mareeba, VPG seeks to empower youth, strengthen families and build the capacity of education, industry and communities through quality partnerships. 

VPG became an incorporated association in 1997, forming in response to the demand from local high schools and local industries to coordinate structured workplace learning, transitioning young people from school to work.  The organisation now operates a number of successful quality federal and state funded programs aimed at improving child and youth transitions.

VPGs current Board is made up of three (3) executive members and one (1) non-executive member.  VPG’s Board are currently seeking expressions of interest for the role of Ordinary Members. 

The Board’s annual calendar includes up to 6 meetings.  In addition to attendance at Board meetings, members must be willing and available to take part in additional meetings to undertake strategic planning, risk management and any other such governance obligations annually or as required.
