A Gender Agenda (AGA) works with the intersex, trans and gender diverse community. The Management Committee (board) is responsible for the overall goverance and the strategic direction of the organisation. The board supports the Executive Director who, together with the staff and volunteers, runs the day to day operations of the organisation. AGA is looking for a new volunteer board member with significant financial experience. Someone with a background in accounting or book-keeping and experience in community sector would be ideal. We are looking for someone who can share their experiences and skills to assist the board in ensuring the board gives proper scrutiny to the financial statements and financial managment of the organisation.
Board meetings are every six weeks for approximately 1.5 hours. Board members are expected to review the financial statements and board papers ahead of the meetings.
