About SECCA

SECCA has a 27year history of providing essential support to individuals who have a disability, their families and significant carers in the area of human relationships, sexual health and sexuality education. Our purpose is to make it possible for people to attain accurate information so they can make the right decisions for themselves about issues associated with relationships and sexual expression. 

A committed staff group and strong partnerships with government, schools and community organisations within the disability sector underpins SECCA’s status as a preferred service provider throughout the State of Western Australia.

Expressions of Interest

SECCA is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are interested in joining our voluntary Board of Management. We are particularly interested in enthusiastic people who may have skills in general management, human resources, financial management, counselling and education.  Prior Board experience is beneficial however not necessary.  Individuals who have a disability and family members are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Board of Management provides support and governance to the Manager of SECCA who manages a team of committed staff working with individuals, families, teachers, health and allied health professionals with issues related to human relationships, sexuality counselling and sexual health education.

The Board will drive this highly regarded not-for-profit service delivery organization through a period of change as it transitions services to the National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS) building a high value and sustainable future for the benefit of the community.

The Board meets on the first Tuesday of every second month from 6:00pm at SECCA’s premises in West Perth. If you are successful in securing Board membership we ask for a minimum commitment of two years.
