OWN was formed 31 years ago to peromote the rights of Older Women.  It currently has 18 branches running social and activies that provide wellness for older women.  The wellness covers exercise classes such as Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, Choir, Moves (dancing and exercise put to music), walking tours of Sydney and surounding areas, acting classes, craft days, board game afternoon and other pleasant activiites.  The headquarters is based in Newtown where the Board meets on the last Thursday of the month. 

There are 11 members on the Board and we currently 3 new members to replace members who have left.

The Board are actively involved with the running of the organisation so Board members need to allow time between Board meetings to assist with the running of the organisation.
