Metro Community Housing wishes to recruit a director with accounting qualifications with the intention that they would assume the role of Treasurer after an appropriate introductory period. The Metro board operates on a consensus model of decision making and directors need to be prepared to participate in respectful and considered manner. Metro provides long term and transitional housing for NSW residents who meet FACS Housing (Housing Pathways) eligibility criteria.  Approximately 30% of our tenancies are offered through partnerships with support providers who nominated clients for transitional terms  of between 6-24 months to:

  • men and women exiting prison and residential drug and alcohol programs
  • single women, women with children and young people 16-25 exiting domestic/family violence crisis accommodation or referred by specialist homelessness services

  • people with a psychiatric disability exiting hospital or insecurely housed.
