Port Melbourne Neighbourhood Centre (PMNC) provides a broad range of affordable accessible social, educational and community development programs to a diverse community. 

Each week we run lifelong learning and recreation 40 programs with over 450 participants. These programs help participants manage daily life, deal with disability, and overcome disadvantage and social isolation while transitioning into work, study or other activities.

We play an active role in the wider community with innovative projects and active partnerships with 6 other local organisations. We have received ACFE awards in recognition of innovation and excellence in education and for offering outstanding pathways in pre-accredited learning.

All these PMNC initiatives and programs facilitate an active citizenship and a stronger, resilient and more inclusive community. 

We have a highly functioning, skilled and committed governance team that has overseen the growth and development of PMNC - particularly over the last decade.

We are looking for  Board members who would be interested in moving into Committee executive positions such Treasurer as part of our succession plan. We would also be interested to hear from people with an interest in governance, leadership, strategic planning and policy development. Knowledge in community education and community development is welcome.
