Seeking expressions of interest for SKLS board members

The SKLS board is seeking to complete its full complement of 7 members by appointing one further member. It is contemplated that the further member will have the skills and capacity to succeed the current Chairperson of the board within 6-12 months. Therefore, the particular competence and experience that is being sought includes board leadership, effective meeting facilitation, governance, strategic insight, and managing and leading change.

This is an exciting voluntary role with the opportunity to significantly shape the strategic reform of a vital community legal service in the Inner South Metropolitan Region. A strong commitment to legal assistance services, familiarity with the context of the legal assistance sector in Victoria, a knowledge of governance and financial acumen will be highly regarded.

In addition, the Board is actively seeking expressions of interest for board members with skills and experience in the following areas: accounting / financial management; marketing; human resources management; and information technology.
