The Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is a values-driven, not-for-profit organisation with a 21-year history of delivering a range of supports and services to families and individuals who have cerebral palsy.
CPSN is an organisation that was formed by parent members to assist them in their family’s journey and we remain true to our purpose today. We have grown substantially and now have 24 permanent office staff and 200 support workers in the community delivering high quality, innovative and expert services and supports to 1,600 members across Victoria.
As the NDIS continues to expand and develop, CPSN is committed to service innovation and thought leadership to keep pace with this reform, and to delivering person-centred outcomes for families and individuals. We currently have 200 clients in our fee-for-service activities, including NDIS funded services to deliver Core Supports and Support Coordination to assist people with cerebral palsy to implement their NDIS plans.
Governed by a diverse, skills-based Board of Directors, CPSN seek new Board members and a Board Chair, who can support the next phase of development. Applicants will be experienced in their respective professions or fields, with good business instincts and commercial acumen. They will have the potential to add to the balance of skills and experience of existing Board members. Applicants with expertise in human resource management, governance, law, community development, marketing or fundraising will be considered favourably.
Applicants who are passionate about supporting people with disability and have knowledge of the disability sector transformation under NDIS will be highly regarded, as will applicants with lived experience of disability.
All Board members serve on a voluntary basis. The Board meets monthly on the third Thursday of every month after business hours.
The CPSN is committed to promoting and protecting the interests and safety of vulnerable persons including people with disability, children, people from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We have zero tolerance for abuse of vulnerable people.
Candidates for these positions will be required to undertake safety screening including a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and other checks as required by legislation or CPSN policy.
