Any further information about this vacancy:
REELise was created as a community response to cyberbullying and its devastating impacts on youth mental health. We harness the technology (mobile phones and tablets) and social media platforms available to young people to create a positive movement for change - sharing stories, broadening awareness, building empathy and modelling appropriate behaviour.
- School based programs "REELise Revolutions" to address cyber risk and opportunity and build digital media skills;
- an annual film festival platform "REELise Film Festival" showcasing pocket films by 10-18 year olds about the real life impacts of their online world;
- leadership opportunities through the REELise Youth Council program and our REEL Voices social media content creation program for young people to lead and advocate for change, inspire positive online behaviour and gain practical work experience in a not for profit context.
With no paid staff, our programs and general administration are run entirely on the goodwill of volunteers who share our passion for empowering young people to live their best lives and shape a better online environment. We are currently seeking additional directors who share that passion and would like to help take REELise to the next level.
REELise is a registered health promotion charity in NSW with tax deductible gift recipient status.
