The current SpecialCare Central Inc board of Directors is actively seeking a passionate, and experienced board member with legal skills to help guide the organisation as it re-brands and grows
Linking Service, Care & Support to Improve the quality of life for people with
special needs, provide social inclusive opportunities, and be connected to information they need to make choices and decisions.
We impart or exchange useful information and share good news stories with each other to encourage social inclusion and awareness in our community.
Communication between team members, clients, service providers, and the community will encompass the strong values of the organisation. We communicate respectfully at all times with integrity, clarity and compassion.
We honour and respect the abilities, qualities and achievements of our team members, clients, service providers and the community and acknowledge the uniqueness of all of those with whom we engage.
We take pride in conducting ourselves with integrity, showing the qualities of honesty based on strong values and principles.
We will deal openly and honestly whenever we engage with team members, clients, service providers and the community.
We have compassion and concern for the experiences of others and aim to support members of the community by offering information and links to service providers who focus on health and wellbeing.
SpecialCare Central have 6 channels of engagement.
We have provided Awareness Expo’s for the past 9 years providing information to the special needs community about service providers. Piloted a television program that was shown through the Channel 7 subprime network, and we wish to continue with this information sharing format. Held face to face forums and captured video.
What makes SpecialCare Central Unique
We launched in 2012, and provide an information service. We are not in conflict with HealthCare service providers or equipment manufacturers. We are a Multi-Media information centre delivering relevant, accessible, accurate connections to information and services, needed by the special needs community to make informed choices and decisions, and we work collaboratively in mainstream spaces and with key leaders in the field.
We work with Network Groups for both Disability and Seniors, Government bodies, NDIS and MyGov. Medical specialist, UQ and TAFE.
Our Current Board
Board members are part of a true team, where input to decision making is valued. The current board is made up of professionals and community members who have come together to make policies and provide strategic direction and oversight.
