From 25 - 29 Jan 2021
We have just experienced the strangest year of our lives.
When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out and Australia began a year of social distancing, lockdowns and isolation, it became apparent very quickly that for many in the community sector, the year was going to be about one thing – survival.
It was tough, but we stood strong.
And we did it by staying connected.
Amid the many challenges of 2020, more than 8000 board directors joined us for the Festival of Community Directors, helping to keep us all connected and on task.
Since its inception in 2019, the Festival of Community Directors has had one main goal: to bring community directors together to improve governance in the sector.
The online nature of the training program meant that even in 2020, despite being forced to cancel some events, we were able to continue offering the vast majority of training and resources the community sector badly wanted and needed.
The Festival also kept us in contact with you, helping us to understand what help community directors required.
If 2020 was about survival, then 2021 is going to be about getting back on track.
We’re excited to present to you the 2021 Festival of Community Directors, and we hope you will join us on this journey of rejuvenation for the sector.
Even as uncertainty lingers globally as we head into 2021, one thing you can bank on is that the Festival of Community Directors will continue, with online training still the focus.
This brochure provides a snapshot of everything the festival has to offer in 2021, with key dates and themes.
The Festival website is the place to go for details of the program, plus tools and information to help you achieve your goals. As each themed week opens, new webpages will go live, showcasing relevant articles, help sheets, speeches, videos and resources.
We look forward to connecting with you in 2021.
