AI and Innovation Readiness: Key concepts, frameworks and tools for transformation (Webinar)
Date: 19 Aug 2026
Wednesday 19 August | 1:00–2:00PM AEST | Online | Recorded
Presented by Shackleton Labs | FREE to attend
This session provides directors and senior executives with a considered orientation to AI and innovation readiness in a purpose-led context.
Host Mike Davis says he's based this session around Community Directors' desire to give practical help to organisations wanting to integrate innovation in their orgs, referencing Guru Laitala's view that “governing AI well is a leadership responsibility, and it starts before a single tool is adopted”.
Grounded in case studies drawn from Australian and international not-for-profit contexts, participants leave with a working understanding of where their organisation sits on the AI maturity curve and the questions to bring to their next board meeting.
At this training, you'll learn:
- Establish a working definition of AI, generative AI and automation in the context of purpose-led work
- Understand the three readiness dimensions boards should assess before adopting AI: strategy, capability and governance
- Review frameworks and tools currently in use across Australian and international not-for-profit organisations, drawn from documented case studies
- Identify your organisation's position on the AI maturity curve and the highest-value entry point for engagement
- Depart with a set of considered next steps and board-level questions to advance the conversation within your organisation.
