SEO 101, with Brett de Hoedt (Webinar)

Date: 15 Aug 2023

Seo

We spoke to your website – it’s lonely. Luckily Google and other search engines can help your site meet new people, but you need to optimise your site to score that coveted page one result. Welcome to search engine optimisation (SEO).

Improving your SEO is entirely within your grasp and (probably) your budget. There are changes you can make today to optimise your website so that Google and other search engines understand and recommend you to the right people at the right time. Appearing on page one for the right Google results could turn your business around.

Join Brett de Hoedt and Steven Lewis from Taleist for 75-minutes to look at the SEO basics that everyone should know. The session will be practical and we’ll review some participants’ sites.

With minimum jargon, Brett and Steven will look at why SEO matters and work through:

  • keyword research;
  • SEO friendly sitemaps;
  • SEO friendly design;
  • when to create standalone websites;
  • creating appealing Google results to encourage click throughs;
  • creating SEO-friendly URLs;
  • description, H1 and Alt tags;
  • backlinks.

Much of this 101-level stuff can be addressed immediately and at no or low cost.

What's a Webinar?

A Webinar is a seminar that's conducted over the internet.

Viewers watch a remote presentation on their own screens at a set broadcast time and can participate by typing and submitting questions they would like answered by the presenter.

Our Webinars are recorded and a copy is sent out to every registrant by default. So if you aren't able to watch the Webinar live at the scheduled time, you don't need to do anything - we'll send you a copy you can watch at your own pace on your own screen.

Why Webinars work

You'll learn at a time that suits you
If you can't join us at the scheduled time, we will automatically send you a recording you can watch at your own pace.

You can ask your burning questions
Our Webinars include a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15 minute interactive Q&A session where you'll call the shots. You do so by typing your questions during the Webinar.

You don't need an IT degree
There's no complicated software involved. You just need a reliable internet connection to participate. We'll email you instructions at each step too. Simple!
