Risk management requires considering ahead of time what risks you might face, how you might prevent them from occurring, how you should fix the problems if they do occur, who is responsible for doing so, and recording when the problem has been fixed. This can help you decide what risks to avoid, how to mitigate or reduce the likelihood of those which are unavoidable, and what risks you are willing to tolerate because the consequences may not be very bad.
