The sector’s growing use of AI to deliver vital services and measure the impact of its programs on the lives of disadvantaged Australians will be a key theme at this year’s Infoxchange Technology for Social Justice Conference.
Now in its 21st year, the event will bring together top leaders from big tech, philanthropy, government and the not-for-profit sector to tackle some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape.
Topics that will be explored at the conference, which will be held at the Telstra Customer Insight Centre in Melbourne on May 7–9, include:
To power the discussions, Infoxchange has brought together a stellar line-up of leaders and technology experts from across the sector.
The conference will explore how technology is being leveraged to drive social impact, improve digital inclusion, and strengthen community resilience through an extensive program featuring keynote speakers, panels and practical workshops.
The three-day event has been divided into themes:
Day one, May 7: Conversations on the future of technology in the sector
Keynotes, panels, case studies and talks discussing AI, data, cyber security, digital inclusion, digital transformation, and the intersection of technology and social justice – what’s working, what’s not, and where the sector needs to go next.
Day two, May 8: Practical workshops on the sector’s critical technology topics
Designed in response to sector needs, these workshops are designed to provide practical strategies for a range of issues, including:
Day three, May 9: Tech industry collaboration and hands-on training for social impact
Attendees with ticketed access to workshops held on day two can also attend this bonus industry tech demo day.
Developed in collaboration with Microsoft and other partners, the day is designed to deliver practical insights directly from in-house experts from leading tech companies to help NFPs optimise their platforms, improve efficiency, and amplify their impact.
The conference includes the much-anticipated Technology in the Not-for-Profit Sector Awards at the end of day one, to be on Level 43 of the Telstra Customer Insight Centre.
The event will celebrate the efforts of innovative individuals in driving digital transformation across the sector.
Nominations for the awards are open until March 31.
Conference-goers will have the chance to rub shoulders with like-minded attendees at a sector meet-up event at The Coopers Inn, following the workshops on day two.
Early-bird tickets to the 2025 Technology for Social Justice Conference are on sale now.
